The WooSox didn’t let the RailRiders intimidate them and secured a well-deserved 6-3 victory. The offense smartly distributed their runs throughout the game.
In the very first inning, a clutch single by Anthony Seigler brought in the first run. In the eighth inning, Nate Eaton provided the absolute highlight: He smashed the ball deep into the night sky for his fifth home run of the season! The WooSox pitchers also brought their A-game. Alec Gamboa kept the opposing offense in check for four innings to secure the win, while the bullpen routinely closed the door.
WooSox Highlights:
- Nate Eaton: A brilliant night! A home run, an important sacrifice fly, and a total of 2 RBIs.

Pure thrills! The Sea Dogs fought a tough battle with Binghamton, tied 3-3 after nine innings. But in the tenth inning, the floodgates opened.
Portland found another gear in the decisive frame, scoring four (!) runs all at once. Tyler McDonough started the rally with a furious RBI triple. Following that, Franklin Arias and Brooks Brannon ripped back-to-back RBI doubles, completely breaking the opponent’s neck. Greenville Drive (High-A) – A Total Offensive Fireworks Show!
Final Score: Greenville Drive 10 – Asheville Tourists 2
When it rains in Greenville, it pours runs! The Drive completely dismantled the Tourists’ pitchers and celebrated a dominant 10-2 victory.
The undisputed star of the night was Luke Heyman, who launched the ball over the fence for a home run twice and collected an unbelievable 4 RBIs! But he wasn’t the only one in a celebratory mood: Top prospect Yoeilin Cespedes (his 10th HR of the season!) and Henry Godbout also joined the home run party. Salem Red Sox (Single-A) – Short Work Before the Rain
Final Score: Salem Red Sox 3 – Hickory Crawdads 1 (Called after 6 Innings)
The game in Salem was called early in the sixth inning due to heavy rain – but luckily, our boys had already taken care of business by then!
Tied 1-1 in the fifth inning, Stanley Tucker stepped to the plate and launched a 2-run home run deep into left field. Since the game was called by the umpires shortly after due to the weather conditions, this swing was enough to secure a 3-1 victory. Sometimes, perfect timing is everything!
Salem Highlights:
Barrett Morgan: An extremely efficient start (5 innings, 1 run) earned him his well-deserved third win of the season.
Stanley Tucker: The man of the hour! His home run in the fifth inning officially sealed the victory.
