While top international signees launch their seasons in the Dominican Republic, recent promotions are setting Greenville on fire.
Hey Red Sox Nation! While the big league club is searching for options at Fenway Park under interim manager Chad Tracy, our farm system continues to provide massive excitement. Following a wave of recent promotions, several top prospects hit the ground running with their new clubs, and the Dominican Summer League (DSL) officially launched its 2026 campaign on Monday!
The headlines in the DSL feature two highly-touted international signees sitting inside the organization’s top 60 rankings:
- Dawvris Brito (SS, Team Red): The 17-year-old infielder (ranked 29th) commanded the second-largest bonus in Boston’s 2026 international class and is already turning heads with elite exit velocities and massive physical upside.
- Garielvin Silverio (OF, Team Blue): Sitting at 28th in the rankings, the left-handed hitting outfielder signed for a class-leading $1.2M bonus in January and flashes tremendous raw power.
Meanwhile, the recent call-ups are putting on an absolute clinic for High-A Greenville. Outfielder Enddy Azocar and catcher/infielder Luke Heyman made the jump from the Salem RidgeYaks and didn’t waste a single second. Azocar showcased his lethal blend of speed and power, slashing .286/.375/.619 with a grand slam and two triples in his first 24 plate appearances. Heyman—acquired last winter from Seattle in the Alex Hoppe trade—crushed two home runs in his very first High-A game last Tuesday.
To put a bow on the week, our Minor League Players of the Week put up stellar numbers: Greenville infielder Mason White took home honors after capping off a dominant May, showcasing the elite strike-zone discipline and power that helped him hit 20 homers at Arizona last year. Over in Triple-A, righty Jack Anderson threw an absolute gem for the Worcester Red Sox (WooSox). Facing Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Anderson hurled 4.2 scoreless innings, giving up just one hit while striking out a season-high 8 batters to lock down a tight 1-0 victory.
The pipeline is absolutely loaded! Which of these young guns are you tracking closest right now? Do you think Heyman and Azocar can keep up this insane pace in Greenville? Let me know in the comments below! Go Sox!
